Seeking the woodland, this male Roe Deer is searching for his next meal, looking up, he notices the red glistening fruits of the rosehip draping from the trees above. Excited by the sight he gallops over to feast on the sweet treats. 
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the deer and hips were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, textile techniques.
