A Woodland Trail
The ferns of the woodland once green and lush have turned to shades of pink and rust. Their blades of fronds once tall start to curl and arch over covering the once visible woodland trail. Amongst its leaves, a badger tramples its way through making his own path.
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the badger, and fern were achieved through quilting, applique and embroidery.
