Down The Rabbit Hole
The many runs and burrows made by rabbits seemingly connect the countryside in some interwoven bypass underneath our feet. Found in fields, woodlands and country lanes, their carefully carved entrances mark the landscape beautifully. But exiting their place of refuge is a tricky bussiness and not one to be taken likely.
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the rabbit, root, and moss were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, textile techniques.
