Spoilt For Choice
The fields of sunflowers once saturated the landscape with their golden blooms, now they dry in the sunshine. Not believing their luck these two little bank voles feast their eyes over the fields of sunflower seeds, yet to be harvested. A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the voles, stem, and cones were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, textile techniques.
