Often seen near the river bank, this hungry kingfisher perches upon the blossoming Hawthorn. Boastfully showing off his catch that dangles between his beak.


A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the kingfisher, fish, flowers and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, textile techniques.
