Toadstool Dreams

In a woodland glade, a fox reclines, its russet coat kissed by dappled sunlight. A tapestry of toadstools encircles him, a remnant of a whimsical feast. It is a tranquil interlude where nature's joy fulfils a content and serene fox, who shares a secret moment with the enchanting fungi of the forest.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the fox, toadstool and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
