Where Small Things Rest

Beneath a canopy of soft viola leaves and gentle blooms, two small mice pause in a moment of stillness — one watching the world beyond, the other turned upward in quiet hope. Held within petals and shadow, it is a tender scene of comfort, where even the smallest lives find their place among the flowers.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the mice, blossoms and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
