The Sweetest Things

Amongst the golden grasses, a curious fox pauses beneath the blackberry branches, its gaze fixed upon the dark, sweet fruit growing just beyond its reach. Perhaps it is simply the promise of a delicious feast that draws it upwards, or perhaps, like us, it knows that the sweetest things in life are often those we must reach a little further for.

Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the fox, berries, and leaves were achieved through beading, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
