Magic Of The Night

Beneath the silent veil of a darkening sky, the Barn Owl soars effortlessly over the dry grasslands, its wings slicing through the cool night air. As the moon breaks free from the clouds, its light guides the owl’s keen eyes in search of unseen prey, a quiet guardian of the nocturnal world.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Barn Owl and grass were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
