A Loving Pair

A pair of Seahorses float in the underwater gardens of the sea. This loving couple has mated for life but chose to live separately most of the time. Yet every morning, they meet to perform their ritual dance of love, as an act of devotion and loyalty.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the seahorses,  plants and bubbles were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.

This piece has been professionally framed, with a white mount and white box frame, with glass. It is ready to hang.
