A Midnight Snack

Under the soft glow of the full moon, the dormouse swings gently from the blackberry branch, its tiny paws clutching the ripe fruit. As the night unfolds around it, the sweet, fragrant berries offer a quiet feast beneath the celestial glow, a secret moment of nature’s wonder.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Dormouse, berries, flowers and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
