Rhubarb Retreat

Nestled beneath the broad, sheltering expanse of a rhubarb leaf, a rabbit finds a safe refuge, its eyes peering with a hint of curiosity. Behind it, the rhubarb forcers stand in silent rows, guardians of the forgotten garden, where nature’s soft embrace offers a haven of tranquillity.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Rabbit, Rhubard and cloche were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
