Blossom's Tiny Guardian

Nestled within the delicate petals of a Dog Rose, a harvest mouse peers out with bright eyes. Amidst the soft hues of the rose's blooms, whiskers twitch with curiosity, while small paws hold the promise of boundless adventures. The world beyond seemed distant, a realm of wonder waiting to be explored.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Harvest mouse, bud and bloom were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
