Fig Pudding

Hanging precariously this little harvest mouse dangles from the branch of the fig tree. Having climbed through the figs many beautiful leaves he is on the hunt for its ripe purple fruits. 
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the mouse, leaves and figs were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and three-dimensional techniques.
