Frosted Tips

The fresh breath of the cold morning air is cast within the garden, laying a layer of frost upon its herbaceous borders. Waking early, this jolly Robin surveys the beauty of the frost and sings the morning in.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Robin and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and three-dimensional techniques.
