Joy Of Socks

Having watched his fellow gardener put out the washing, this Red Breasted Robin hops onto the washing line along with the warm knitted socks and sings with joy.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Robin, sock and washing line were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, textile techniques.
