Joyful Flutter

An orange-tipped butterfly gracefully alights upon an alpine strawberry, its delicate wings ablaze with the colours of spring. As it sips nectar from the strawberry, the butterfly becomes a living embodiment of nature's joyful dance, spreading beauty and happiness with every flutter of its wings.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Butterfly, strawberries and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
