Moonlight Feast

Under the soft glow of the moon, the hedgehog steps cautiously into the circle of toadstools, its small paws brushing against the cool earth. As it lifts its front paw to the top of one delicate mushroom, the quiet of the night seems to hold its breath, offering the creature a hidden feast in the moonlight.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Hedgehog, moss and toadstools were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
