Notes in the Needles

Amid the hush of a pine’s high boughs, where the smallest cones begin to dream of growth. A robin lifts its chest to the sky and fills the morning with song, each note seems to stir the needles with secrets of the forest, as if nature itself pauses to listen.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Robin, pine leaves and seeds were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
