Peeking Through Petals

The mossy ground cradles the tender blooms of early spring. Two shy wood mice peek from behind vibrant crocus petals, their tiny noses twitching with curiosity and the sweet scent of spring.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Mice, blossom, moss and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
