Quite The Catch

Driving deep into the sea this hungry Puffin eagerly hunts for its dinner, fish. To his delight his beak is soon full, so happily he takes off from the water, using all his might he runs and flaps his wings and proudly flies home.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the puffin, and, and water were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, textile techniques.
