Rosy Refuge
In the heart of a sunlit meadow, a bank vole nestled itself among the delicate blooms and lush leaves of a Dog Rose, creating a hidden sanctuary. As the fragrant petals swayed gently around it and dappled sunlight filtered through the foliage, the vole reveled in its secret haven.
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the hare, grass and wildflowers were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
