Sardine Shoal

A rush of Sardines flash across the rippling water, guided by the current they move as one to escape the ever-approaching pod of dolphins.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the seahorse and seaweed were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, textile techniques.
