Shielded Serenity

Beneath the sprawling canopy of large leaves, a contented fox basks in the sun's gentle warmth, its nose kissed by golden rays. Sheltered from the world's chaos, it finds solace and joy, embracing the peaceful sanctuary of its leafy refuge.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the fox, fallen leaves and large leaf were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
