The Tide Of Life

Flowing with the ocean tides, this enchanting shoal of Sardines glide through the water. Moving as one they twist and turn, swirl and twirl creating a beautiful murmuration in the water as they swim towards the light.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Sardines were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
