Times Silent Echo

Just as the morning hush settles over the garden, the spotted woodpecker arcs toward the old obelisk, its flight a breath between heartbeats. Below, sweet peas unfurl in tender bloom, their petals whispering secrets of time, memory, and the soft return of summer.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Woodpecker, obelisk, and sweet pea were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
