Toadstool Trail

Emerging over the soft mound, the badger pauses, his dark eyes gleaming with curiosity as the red and white toadstools glow like woodland jewels beneath the golden morning light. Drawn by the earthy scent, he steps closer, savouring the quiet magic of the forest and the feast nature has laid before him.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Badger, ground and toadstools were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
